2HB enjoyed soaking up the sun while on our daily mile around the school!

Year 2 have been busy practising their weekly spellings using a range of different activities. This week we rotated around different stations such as sand, paint, magnetic letters and an iPad app called Art Set. Have a look at our fantastic work. 

Today we practised making our doubles with chalk in the play ground. We also learned a song so we remember all of our doubles!

Year 2 have really started their new topic for Term 3, Once upon a time, in style. The pupils wrote invitations to everyone in the class to invite them to a banquet. Then the pupils got dressed up and headed outside to our picnic benches to enjoy some tasty food. 

This week Year 2 enjoyed becoming scientists. The pupils took part in many different experiments such as the germs, explosion and water rising experiment. We each made predictions then carried out the experiment to see what would happen. 

Mrs Boyd's class had a fantastic time dressing up for World Book Day. Look at those amazing costumes! Take a look at all our classes costumes in the gallery section of the app. 

Year 2 enjoyed learning about the parts of a flower. After we had a go at planting our own flower to keep in the classroom and watch it grow. A massive thank you for Woven Mill Garden Centre and Cafe who donated the plant pots and seeds for our pupils to use.

Year 2 had a fantastic visit to Ballymoney Museum on Tuesday. The pupils had a brilliant time exploring all past and present toys. A big thank you to Ballymoney Museum for having us! 

Today Year 2 were recapping the digraph 'oi'. The pupils had lots of fun rotating around different stations taking part in 'oi' activities. Great work everyone! 

Year 2 had a brilliant day eating pancakes to celebrate Shrove Tuesday. We designed our dream pancake stack before enjoy this treat!
