During this term, in our WAU Thematic topic, “ It’s a Bugs’ Life,” the boys and girls in Yr 4 have at first hand been learning about the life cycle of the Monarch butterfly. There has been great interest every day watching the butterfly caterpillars emerge from the eggs, then transform to the next stage of the life cycle into a pupae or chrysalis; and then miraculously change into a butterfly. There was great excitement when Mrs Murphy’s class took the class butterflies out into the school grounds and watch them fly away to find flowers and bushes in our fantastic school grounds.
