The Year 7 children enjoyed participating in Streetwise which was held in the Joey Dunlop centre. This event really links well to our topic ‘Are you wise?’ The children went around different stations and there were representatives from the PSNI, NI Fire & Rescue service, Cancer Focus NI, Tesco, Translink, RNIB, NI Electricity, St John’s ambulance and Causeway Coast and Glens. The children got lots of advice on a wide range of subjects linked to how to keep safe and healthy. It covered everything from consumer rights to CPR and the children learnt a lot from all the experts that were present.
