Term 1B Highlights in Y7NT

Y7NT have been enjoying learning all about World War 2 through their ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ topic. One of the main highlights this term has been participating in the ‘Holding History’ workshop where the children had the opportunity to see artefacts from World War 2 including medals, guns, ammunition, soldiers uniform and gas masks. The children really enjoyed getting to see items that they had been learning about up close. 

The children have also been working really hard on producing a news report about Belfast Blitz. They worked in groups to conduct research on Belfast Blitz before making a script. Following this they decided on parts, used the teleprompter feature on the ipads as a prompt before filming their reports using green screen. When they finished the filming they then spent time editing their films through iMovie. Everyone is looking forward to watching the final version of their videos.  

Year 7 has had a busy term!
