Year 5 outdoor learning!
The Year 5 pupils had a fantastic time taking part in Outdoor Learning Day, embracing the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom. The excitement of being outside created a positive atmosphere, with everyone eager to take part and explore.
The children put their knowledge of the 24-hour clock into practice through an engaging, hands-on activity. Applying their learning in this way helped to deepen their understanding and build confidence in using this important skill.
They also enjoyed an ICT “unplugged” coding activity, where, in small groups, they explored the concept of algorithms (a step-by-step set of instructions used to complete a task). This creative approach encouraged problem-solving, logical thinking, and collaboration as they worked through challenges together.
The Year 5 pupils demonstrated our school values brilliantly, particularly teamwork and support for one another. It was wonderful to see them learning and enjoying their education in the fresh air.
