Starry Night Art - Mrs Mack’s class

As part of their World Around Us theme, ‘Twinkle, Twinkle’, the pupils in Mrs Mack’s class enjoyed creating pieces of art inspired by the famous painting, ‘The Starry Night’, by Van Gogh.
Skill School Taster Fun Session at Ballymoney Model IPS by Year 4

Skill School welcomed all classes to participate in their Taster Session of an After Schools Activity. Thanks to the Coaches in Skill School for visiting our school on Friday 5th September. The boys and girls in Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed playing dodge ball games and joining in the special “Treasure Island team game.” Thank you to Skill School for visiting our school. Here are some photos of our first few days in our new classroom with Mrs McNaughton and Miss Young. We are going to have a brilliant first term as Year fours.
This week we have been revising 3D shapes. We made cubes and cuboids from nets. We decorated our nets, cut them out and folded them to make the 3D shapes. This will help us to recognise the nets for 3D shapes.
Miss Hemphill’s class were delighted to meet Rosie our School Therapy Dog. We enjoyed saying hello to Rosie and look forward to sharing story and singing times with Rosie.
Today we celebrated Roald Dahl Day. We listened to chapter 11 of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Then we discussed how we would feel if we found a golden ticket. We created our own golden tickets and lollipops during art activities. Everyone received a certificate for all the fantastic work today.
