This week the whole school are taking part in the Mini London Marathon for Schools as part of our Take 5 'Be Active' programme of events. Pupils have been asked if they would like to walk, jog or run a specific route to complete either 1000metres or 2 miles. Miss Hemphill’s class have been working hard on practical addition. We took our learning to the Foundation Stage playground to put it into practice. We used large construction, large Numicon and even ourselves to carry out simple calculations and we recorded our answers. Great work Year One!

6OBCH used ICT to help locate important places and landmarks on a map of ancient Egypt. Pupils used Google Maps alongside their own research to find where locations were and to label their maps correctly. This activity supported their understanding of ancient Egypt while giving them practice in using digital tools and research skills.
