This week we completed lots of different activities to help us become more aware of looking after our mental health. On Friday we dressed up to celebrate superhero day with Autism NI.

Year 2 had a fantastic time on Thursday when they brought their teddies and Rosie, along for a visit to Megaw Park as part of Children's Mental Health Week. The weather stayed dry, allowing everyone to make the most of the day. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to play, explore and create happy memories together.

Year 6FB have enjoyed a thoughtful and engaging week as part of Children’s Mental Health Week and Safer Internet Day. Pupils took part in the Place2Be “This Is My Place” assembly, explored positive affirmations and discussed how to recognise and manage different feelings. Miss Hemphill’s class have been enjoying outdoor play linked to our new topic ‘Yummy Yummy’. We have explored fruit in the water tray, visited the supermarket and sang ‘I’m a little teapot’ with musical instruments. We practiced using our phonic skills to build words and developed gross motor skills on the bikes. Most of all - we were learning whilst having fun.

Y7NT have enjoyed taking part in lots of activities to promote good mental health. This has ranged from being active outside with the parachute to learning breathing exercises to relax and take away stress. Rosie has also helped us with our breathing exercises!
