Today in Literacy we looked at examples of non-chronological reports on different subjects. We identified the different features and discussed how they help the reader. We then thought about the non-chronological report we are beginning to write about the Titanic and what title and subheadings we were going to use.

Our school value this month is CONFIDENCE and Y3NMLM decided upon this as the theme of their KS1 assembly today.  Using Michael Rosen's classic book "We're Going On A Bear Hunt", the boys and girls explained how - just like the family in the story - it is important to face our challenges with confidence.   Y3NMLM spoke out clearly, sang beautifully and created a really enjoyable assembly. ...

We have been listening to pieces of music composed during World War 2 and noting the instruments used within the piece.  We made a plan of how we could create our own musical instruments and discussed the resources which would make the best sounds.
