Over the last few weeks our year 7 pupils had a very practical homework where they had to build their own Titanic models. The children made a wide variety of models, using different materials including Lego. The children used their imagination to design very different models, including a few sinking Titanics and some with working lights! Well done to our pupils and parents for their hard work and creativity!

Mrs Murphy’s class participated in the rspb BIG Schools’ Birdwatch 2026 in our school grounds. There was great enthusiasm and interest in this Outdoor Learning activity with the boys and girls bringing in his/her own binoculars and to identify the birds flying past or singing high up in the branches of the trees. Primary 3 had a fantastic time taking part in the ‘RSPB Big Birdwatch’ today! We explored the playground and carefully observed the birds in our local area. We collected our data in tally charts and discussed which birds were most common. Despite the windy weather, we spotted seagulls, magpies and blackbirds.  Well done P3, for being brilliant birdwatchers!

6OBCH Explore Chrome Music Lab in UICT

Year 6OBCH had a fantastic time exploring Chrome Music Lab as part of their UICT learning this week. This term, our focus is on Digital Audio , and pupils began by experimenting with Song Maker to create their own musical patterns and compositions. The children enjoyed discovering how digital tools can be used to make music and they were excited to share their creative pieces with one another....
